At ten years of age, I experienced the Holy Spirit calling me to accept our Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. While attending Union Chapel Community Baptist Church, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins. Today God is using me to minister His Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.
In 1994 I met and married my wife, Iola L. Woodell. A year later we were blessed to welcome our daughter, Krystin Taylor Woodell, to our family. My wife is employed by Robeson Health Care and passionately shares the love of Jesus with our preschoolers.
In 2001, God called me into the ministry to preach His Holy Word. Union Chapel Community Baptist Church licensed me to preach the Gospel a year later. The Lord has truly blessed the ministry He has placed me in since.
In February 2005, Reedy Branch Baptist Church of Fairmont, NC, called me to serve as their pastor. Since coming to Reedy Branch, I have seen God change lives all the while moving me closer to Himself. My family has experienced a warmth and love that can only come from people who are abiding in Jesus Christ.
I received a BS degree from UNC-Pembroke and a Masters in Christian Education from Campbell University Divinity School.
My family has thoroughly enjoyed our work at Reedy Branch and as we continue to work for our LORD, we seek His guidance and will for the future of His Church and Ministry.
